Why Oasis Zero
Oasis Zero grew from the experiences of its founder, Chigusa Sansen.
For nearly 26 years, Sansen worked on Microsoft's Windows line of products, building developer platforms that enabled others to create experiences for billions of people. Throughout her career, one principle remained constant: technology should exist to serve people.
As AI began reshaping the way we work, she witnessed firsthand both its remarkable potential and the disruption it could bring. That experience sparked a broader question: What if we designed intelligent machines not only to make us more productive, but to help us live more meaningful lives?
Outside of technology, Sansen has spent years as a dog trainer, volunteered in animal rescue, and recently expanded that journey into the world of horses. Those experiences revealed a simple truth: daily routines often consume so much of our time and energy that too little remains for the moments of patience, presence, and connection that strengthen the bond between humans and animals.
Oasis Zero was founded on a simple belief: robotics should not replace the moments that matter most. They should thoughtfully take on the repetitive work that surrounds them, creating more time, more energy, and more calm for people and their animals.
